graphite series

I just submitted "sight" as the first in a series of five drawings of the senses. This is my first real attempt at using pencils and I am looking for any pointers in general for drawing (: Also if there are any techniques for shading in particular.. i seem to have trouble with that the most >_<

anyway, keep checking back for the next sense "taste," which I'd like to have done by the end of the week.

p.s. if you know any sweet references for tongues... let me know:P so far I'm thinking of drawing [link]

It's been a while..
hope you are doing well?
I'm doing pretty ok.. I quiet my job to go to college again.. big change
I've got loads of free time now wich I use to rest causs the last year was very stressfull.. and because of that I'm photographing more and more :)
I'm planning to do a small exhibition in a pub in Ghent soon.. hoping to sell some pictures..

ok.. that's all for now :)

hey i'm really glad you're going to college! way to take charge of your life :D what are you studying? and i'm happy to hear you've been photographing more, it is a great stress reliever i believe. it helps me clear my mind and think about every photo i take.. (:

as for me, i've been doing great. opposite of you i decided to take a semester off of college but similar.. with all this free time i am taking loads more photographs. i'm creating a portfolio to apply to the fashion institute of design in NYC.. photography major here i come!! hahaha.

i hope this message finds you well. i'm cheering for you all the way maria, :wave:
